How We Built The Site

A site built to manage the ASME trade show that would allow users to navigate the booths as well as restaurants and spots near the conference.

Rapid Graphics Linking

The header image for this site was designed in Photoshop using two layers. The background features the white banner and the ASME logo with the second layer being an advertisement for an upcoming event making it easy to update when a new event comes up. Then, using RGL, the logo can quickly become a link to the foundation’s homepage.

Advanced Accordion

This image was built in Photoshop and using the Advanced Accordion widget which lets you customize your accordion navigation, the image becomes a gateway to some great information that slides open when the image is tapped.

Another simple Accordion here condenses downloadable content. Once opened, the links were built using RGL.

Taking advantage of well placed image headers can bring more life to your sites. Just make sure to size your images correctly to fit into your navigation.

Custom Code

Some quick Custom Code was used to combine the Location Finder with Touch to Call and Live Text. Custom code can help you be more precise with alignments and small but important details.

This icon navigation could have been accomplished with RGL but to give it a little more flare we added some quick custom code to make the buttons change color when touched and to keep the “Experience Houston” in live text to boost SEO.
